Hi Tony! I agree and wrote along those lines in a previous article (https://slrlounge.com/how-to-test-shoot-with-model-agency-represented-models/) about first approaching a modeling agency to test. They absolutely want a photographer’s book to contain images of people that look the part of the model.

Well written article but the biggest thing missed is.... the model. When you approach agencies you need to have agency standard faces. Your lighting and styling and composition may be on point but if your model doesn't shine it may all mean nothing.

In my view you need at least two to three solid models. A male model is also a good idea. Study the agencies website to get a handle on what they like. However for good or bad photographers are often judged by the models they display.
